STOBART GROUP has ap plied to run 20 vehicles and the same number of trailers at the base of sawmilling and manufacturing company Forest Garden in Hartlebury, Kidderminster.

The application is linked to the firm's new 10-year transport contract with AW Jenkinson Forest Products, which holds a 25% stake in Forest Garden.

Stobart will also source and distribute supplies of biomass fuel for Jenkinson. Allan Jenkinson. sole proprietor of AW Jenkinson Forest Products, says: This is the perfect partnership to take the business to the next level."

In January, Stobart and Jenkinson ordered 1,000 new Scania trucks as part of a joint-procurement agreement.
