THE haulage firm of Walter Rispin and Son, of Anlaby, near Hull, has taken over the Hull depot of LSD Transport (1944) Ltd., for a cash payment of £28,000. The takeover is part of a £38,000 expenditure on expansion, and the two companies are now known as Rispin of Hull.
Twenty vehicles are operated on removals and haulage mainly to the Midlands, Lancashire and the West Riding of Yorks.
Rispin and Son has retained their Anlaby headquarters for use as a maintenance shop, paint depot and stores. The LSD depot in Vulcan Road, Clough Road, Hull, is used as a warehouse and garage for the new company.
