Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IkT the recent meeting of the IRU Road

Safety Commission in The Hague, unanimous approval was given to the institution of a diploma to be granted by IRU to individual drivers on the recommendation of national associations.

It is not intended that IRU should organize competitions but rather that it should highlight drivers, already selected by the appropriate national associations, who have driven for a certain number of miles without being involved in severe accidents, or who have, by an act of courage, avoided an accident or who have saved human life in serious road traffic accidents.

The Commission envisages that the diploma will be awarded at an IRU Congress and part of the purpose of the project is to enhance the public image of the professional lorry driver.
