Don't delay: this Daf CF won't be around for long

IF YOU SHOP around you can find a good Daf CF at an affordable price, and this one is no exception. The CF has been the corner-stone of the UK haulage sector since its introduction in 1992 when it replaced the Leyland Daf 80-series, and this two-axle rigid is a prime example of why operators keep turning to it.

Plated at 18 tonnes, this box-bodied sleepercab with column tail lift is a 220hp Euro-5 model, run from new by one owner. No transport manager will ever be fired for ordering a Daf CF as it's a dependable motor with a sensible array of engines, transmissions and cabs. It's also the biggest selling fleet tractor, and is supported by the UK's largest truck network of dealers and service centres. This one is being sold by fleet management expert Ryder, which unsurprisingly has seen that the CF has a full service history behind it, as well as putting an MoT ticket on it until June 2014. Because of the number of CFs in circulation, they're always plentiful — and an affordable choice both in the new and used market — but in Laurie Dealer's experience, this example won't be around for long. • For more information, go to usedtrucks. commercialmotor.com or contact Ryder Truck Rentals on 0843 393 0939 or email hunter_ todd@ryder.com
