RE: LONDON mayor Boris Johnson's statement about fining LGV operators up to £200 a day if they are not fitted with the correct cyclefriendly safety equipment — who's going to pay for the modification to LGVs?
Maybe it's time we looked at road layouts instead? Maybe we should have cycle and vehicle segregation in and around London, improved cyclist education and statutory training. We all have to use the roads together so maybe if we all read from the same page we might improve road safety. However, we will be undertaking the necessary modification as we consider road and driver safety our highest priority and I want everyone to go about their day safely. Stuart Banks AR Banks
