• Manchester-based air cargo haulier Plane Trucking has been bought by its Dutch competitor, Rutges. The two firms, which have a combined fleet of over 200 trucks with 15 depots and 400 staff, will continue to operate independently.
"Plane Trucking has an excellent reputation for quality service and we have no intention or reason to change the name or management of the company," says Rutges managing director Nico Leyer.
0 D Moody (Haulage) of Choppington, Northumberland is the latest agent to join Track 29, British Rail Parcels' overnight door-to-door freight operation.
Moody runs 20 trucks on building services and industry contracts.
