• Neoplan's 15m double-deck Superskyliner will debut at the Kortrijk Show in Belgium next month.
The German manufacturer has been building four-axle double-deckers for over 12 years, but until now sales have been concentrated in South America and the Middle East. Changes in legislation have allowed Neoplan to break into the Swedish and Turkish markets and now the company is asking European transport ministers to allow its integral to run on the Continent for specified operations. However, it is not expected to try to bring the unit to Britain.
