Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Talking about highly priced feet, I've just heard about the Golden Shoe Club and have no hesitation in publicising its objectives, regardless of any commercial connotations there may be. It's a nonprofit-making body financed by most of the leading makers of safety footwear, and its aim in life is to encourage the wearing of safety shoes and boots. It has no brief to promote specific brands, otherwise I wouldn't be writing about it here.

In almost every industry feet are vulnerable, mainly because heavy things have a habit of getting dropped, and transport is no exception. From the Golden Shoe Club's membershi list let us take the example of member No 320I—lorry driver Ron Bedford, from Sheffield. He was unloading a 2-ton bundle of 40ft lengths of angle iron when the securim chain slipped, the bundle swung round and knocked him off the lorry. But his foot was trapped against the edge of the platform and the leather toecap of his boot was slashed right through. Fortunately he was wearing safety boots with steel toe caps, so he had bruised—instead of severed 7,–toes. End of commercial.

The club has its own badge and tie, and " escapers " get a certificate. It lives at 100 Whitechapel Road, London El if you want to know more about it
