FOR the first time since the Exhibition I was inaugurated in 1919, it will be possible to negotiate hire-purchase terms at Olympia, London, where the Public Works and Municipal Services Congressand Exhibition is to be held from November 10-15. Three leading finance houses—United Dominions Trust, Ltd., Lombank, "Ltd., and Forward Trust, Ltd.---have taken stands. One concern is willing to provide credit and finance facilities for the completion of public-works contracts and for the renewal or modernization of plant or machinery. •
There will be nearly 400 eihibitors at the show.
OBITUARY
WE regret to announce the deaths of MR. FREDERICK OSGOOD HICKLING and MR. E. ADDIS. • Mr. Hickling had been technical manager of Ransotne and Marles. Bearing Co., Ltd., for thc past 30 years, but recently he had suffered from ill,health. Mr. Addis, who was 56, had been with the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co. (Great Britain), Ltd., for the past 28 years. Starting as a salesman in the Midland division he had worked up to the position of mileage -divisionmanager. For some months he had been in. illhealth.
