PRIMARELY designed for the removal and installation of internal and external circlips from confined places in commercial-vehicle hubs, a new circlip tool has been produced by J. W. Pickavant and Co., Ltd., Bow Street, Birmingham, I. Each tool is supplied with three pairs of location pegs to cover circlips from 11-7 in. Additional attachments for the company's 278 booster screwdrivers are now obtainable. These devices work on the Archimedean principle and enable stubborn screws to be turned by a hammer blow. Other products introduced by Pickavant are a pinion-bearing pre-loading gauge, a hydraulic steering-wheel puller, An improved forming head is fitted to allow close offset bends to be made without any possibility of bending or displacing the hydraulic ram. Alterations to the end-formers produce progressive drag on the tube to ensure that it seats snugly in the bending-form groove.

Lugs are now-provided on the lid of a metal tool chest to enable the pump body to be fixed rigidly with the -forming head

▪ overhanging. This eliminates the necessity of providing 5. stand for site 'work.
