Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I just wanted to let you know what I think about the price of oil. Yesterday afternoon I rang my usual supplier, Total Butler in Cardiff. for its price per litre. I was told diesel is 72.40p/lit (ex-VAT) and is going up by another 5p tomorrow. Buy now, beat the rise!

I was also informed that the general public can now purchase petrol and diesel from almost any leading supermarket at about 6p/lit less than Total Butler can supply in bulk—say 9,000 litres, to the likes of myself and other people in general haulage.

The manager said that all the haulers and farmers have done is enabled the ordinary car user to obtain fuel at far lower prices than the main business users. Talk about RipOff Britain!

Surely there has lobe an awful lot wrong with the set-up somewhere along the fine, and the sooner Tony Blair and his friend Gordon Brown act in the interests of business managers then the better and fairer life

will be for all concerned. Jean Sharpies,
