Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Michelin has launched a tyre management package called Encore in which it will retread rivals' products.

The service is designed to offer operators a "cradle-tograve" tyre service, from

supoiy through regrooving and retreading to eventual disposal, with a reduction in paperwork and management time.

Casings from any manufacturer can be inspected to see if they are Suitable for retreading—the service could see tyre casings used more than four times if they are in a suitable condition.

Encore will be available through a number of selected service providers, including ATS, but all tyres will be retreaded at Michelin's new multi-millionpound site in Stokeon-Trent.

A limited range of Encore tyres are already available following the scheme's launch last week. They include an urban tyre, three on/off-road tyres and four medium-distance options.
