• Catalogue shopping chain Index is to take on 40 new drivers who will work out of a £15m distribution centre in the Midlands.
The 13-acre site at Parkway North, Wedneshury, West Midlands is due to open next June, creating 380 jobs.
It is part of a £29m expansion scheme that includes the opening of three new Index stores in Blackpool, Lancaster and Oldham to join a network of 126 nationwide,
