Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• WRM, the acquisitive logistics group, plans to save John Dickinson million a year on its transport bill after taking over the stationery group's distribution.

WRM has already axed the Lane Group from among the sub-contractors on the JD work, arguing that Dickinson's own drivers could do the work more cheaply. TNT, another sub-contractor, is continuing to carry its share of John Dickinson's products, such as Basildon Bond stationery.

WRM, based in Dorking and backed by venture capital, took over the Dickinson contract on an experimental basis in February but has now formalised the arrangement tinder the umbrella WRM Logistics, JDS.

In July it closed Dickinson's Salford depot and now manages 25 of the manufacturer's drivers from the paper firm's factory in Hemel Hempstead. Hertfordshire.

WRM, with a £45 million turnover, already has two companies involved in the paper industry: Scottish-based AM Transport and Berwick Transportation in Cumbria.
