• One-day Saturday stoppages are on the cards following a ballot of drivers at York City and District concerning the introduction of eight additional minibuses on city services.
The AJS Holdings subsidiary now has 55 minibuses out of a fleet of just over 100, all of which operate high frequency routes through the centre of the city.
Grievances over duty length, running times and rota structure have already caused one stoppage. Management and unions are now in talks to avert further action.
