• Mellor Coachcraft, part of the Plaxton group, has openel a £300,000 extension to its Rochdale plant and is concentrating on building mir and midibuses, welfare and personnel carriers.
Extra staff are being recruited for the factory, which includes a new fibreglass plant and a 15.5m spray booth capable of taking two 16-seaters coaches or one 33-seater.
