PARCELS CARRIER ANC is studying the feasibility of entering the contract hire market.

A smaller company already in the market has approached ANC in order to promote contract hire via ANC's 64 franchised depots.

ANC managing director Tony Capper told CM that if agreement is reached between the two companies, ANC franchise holders would sell the idea of car and van contract hire to their existing parcels customers. "We often get asked by them if they can hire a van from us," said Capper.
