SOME of Britain's best known operators of high specification coaches have established a commercially oriented Guild of British Coach Operators.
Fifteen founder-members include Swinards of Kent. Armchair of London, Yorks of Northampton, Grey Green and Flights of Birmingham.
The Guild, which is not intended as a rival for the Bus and Coach Council, intends to ensure that its members provide a high standard of coaches and service to customers.
It will also press for improved facilities for coaches around Britain, and seek recognition of the importance of coach travel in the tourism and travel industry,
