'[HE GOVERNMENT and the National Bus Company are still at loggerheads over what to do with the NBC's pension scheme after privatisation.
The latest Government proposals, based on an insurance scheme, have been rejected by NBC on the grounds that existing members of the scheme would lose out.
In the Lords this week, Agriculture Minister of State Lord Belstead said work during the recess showed that it would he possible to buy insurance to protect the accrued benefits.
