Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE ZF TRANSMATIC gearbox is now being offered as an on-line option on Seddon-Atkinson 400 Series vehicles fitted with Cummins 250 and Rolls-Royce 265 L engines. Approximately £2500 is added to the chassis list price if the ZF transmission is specified.

Transmatic consists of four parts — a hydraulic -torque converter, a lock-up clutch, a gearshift clutch, and a sixor eight-speed synchromesh gearbox; the principle being to eliminate normal clutch wear and tear and provide smooth transmission or power between engine and gearbox.

It is particularly suitable for multi-stop operations or heavy haulage, and BP has recently specified the transmission on some distribution and aircraft refuelling vehicles.

This year Seddon Atkinson has also added the Cummins , turbocharged 250 engine and International Harvester RA 57 single reduction rear axle to its list of options.
