iE LAW on unfair dismissal and the handling of redundancies Ls been amended to change the period of service for the right to implain of unfair dismissal from the present 26 weeks to 52 ?.eks.
The new law also changes from 60 to 30 days the consultation !riod for trade unions where redundancies in companies yolving between 10 and 99 employees are contemplated. This riod will also include the notification of the Department of nployment.
