QTATING that facilities for repairing

form an important part of services afforded by a garage, the Minister of Town and Country Planning has allowed an appeal by Mr. A. Lindley, Whinmoor, Seacroft, Leeds, against Tadcaster Rural District Council's refusal of permission to build an extension to Woodville filling station on the Leeds-York trunk road at Whinmoor.

The extension would house a garage and workshop. The Minister considers that the refusal of consent for an extension would be justified only when. there were serious planning objections. It was important, however, that the area available for refuelling vehicles should be kept clear of stationary vehicles awaiting repair or under maintenance.
