'Wallace has figured so largely in the commercial-vehicle world that the vehicle bearing his name is bound to attract much attention. The Wallace gratin of 30-40 cwt. lorries are staged on Stand No. 43 by Richmond Motor Lorries, Ltd., of 222, Great Portland Street, London, W.1, and they comprise three models—types A, B, and C. Typo A as portrayed by a chassis fitted with a tipping body operated by a Bromilow and Edward's engine-driven tipping gear; and also a bare chassis. Type B is represented by a station bus of the single-deckertype, fitted -with giant pneumatic tyres, and with a seating capacity for 14 passengers The type C

The outstanding constructional details of .thesechassis are as follow :—The engine used is a four-cylind•ered -Continental Red Seal 'nionobioc, the cylinders have ing'a here and 'stceake Of 34 ins. and 5 ins. respectively. It is mounted on the three-point suspension system, the rear supporting ems being provided with re coil springs. Prevision is Made on all the chassis marketed by this company for the fitting of A self-starter and electric lighting set, the flywheel being fitted .with a ring gear for thie purpose. The three-speed-and-reverse, gearbox is bolted together with the casing of the multiple dry disc, clutch as a unit with the engine. The radiator is of the caste aluminium, built-up type, and has veeti
cal tubes, the Water circelation being by centrifugal pump. The rear axle is the well-known Clark, which is of the inter nal gear final drive type, .
• A feature of the station bus is the ingenious device for dealing. with lugga,ge, which is operated by a system of mikes and enables one man to hoist the impedimenta to, the roof with quickness and eaae. The body of this vehicle has .a circular well to enable a table to be fitted to allow passengers to enjoy agame of cards. Ample arrangements for luggage accommodation have been provided.
A point that will interest prospective purchasers of this make of vehicle is that the manufacturers and distributors undertake to give a two years' periodical inspection of the vehicle free of charge.
