ON THIS stand is shown a Balco-Ford outfit which, as is well known, converts an ordinary Ford van chassis into a commercial vehicle by the addition of frame members and a new axle, the wheels being driven by chains from pinions fixed to the ends of the original Ford axle shafts, which now bereene differential shafts. This outfit is shown ais a convertible vehicle, having either a 20-seater char-à-banes bedy or •.a wooden, low-sided lorry body with

hinged tailboard. The vehicle has a fixed cab, the driver's seat being sufficiently large to accommodate two passengers besides the driver, and the char-iibanes body having a single entrance on

the near aide at the forward end, and being equipped with a one-man hood. Conversion to goods-carrying purposes is extremely eimple, and can be expeditiously carried out. The price of this convertible vehicle is stated to be £950. It is equipped with disc wheels, having pneumatic tyres on the front and solid tyres 'at the rear.
