A TOP COACHWORK award has gone to Iveco UK for one of the exhibits on its Scottish Show stand.

A 220.38 twin-seater tractive unit, painted in a yellow tartan livery, has been awarded the gold medal by the Institute of British Carriage and Automobile Manufacturers.

It was presented to Iveco UK chief executive Alan Fox by IBCAM president Ron Matthews and Scottish Motor Trade Association president Bob Barnett.

Ten similar vehicles are in service with Ferrymasters, and another 50 have been ordered for use on inter-continental work based at depots in Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands and France. They are all left-hand drive, and only 10 will run from Britain.
