The first speaker Mr Graham Boxall of Pickfords Ltd spoke on the individual rights of employees. He reminded the delegates that under the new contract of employment every employee was entitled to have a job title. He said new periods of notice were longer than those in existence before the current legislation.

Centre: Mr Marcus Fox, BAR's partliamentary adviser, presented a progress report covering the past 12 months.
J. G. Boxall, a member of the industrial relations panel, told the delegates that there were four basic areas that had to be considered when looking at the individual rights of employees.
