It is in Algeria that all the :argo is discharged into a • 5ecurity compound and trans ferred into the trans-Sahara trailers of SNTR. They are then taken with one of the company's 3,000 tractive units across the desert.

The advantages of the new service include same day transhipment and Customs clearing of loads through Al giers and Kano. No Nigerian port clearance certificate is needed.

SNTR claims to be the only company offering full freight services across the Sahara-, and as a result most of its equipment is purpose-built for the job.
