r"1"HE owners of North Lines Haulage group, Davison's Transport and other haulage firms, London and Northern Securities Ltd. have bought a controlling interest in the 28-vehicle haulage company of James K. Allan Ltd., Newarthill, Lanarks. It is part of a three-companypurchase involving also earth-moving and crane-hire concerns.
Mr. James K. Allan remains chairman and managing director, retaining "a significant equity stake" in the company, and his son, Andress K. Allan, remains on the board of management. Allan runs 80 per cent artics and has a southern depot at Market Harborough.
