Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A stolen truck was at the centre of a four-hour police chase which went through a city centre and ended in the early hours of Tuesday. Five people ended up in hospital.

The driver, a 23-year-old man from Hanley, Staffs, has been arrested and is being questioned by police.

The Volvo FLI 0 6x4 was taken from Tunstall, Staffs-based N&J Bailey Transport on Monday morning and was spotted by police near Junctionl 4 of the M6. They attempted to stop the G-reg truck, which smashed into a police vehicle and headed north along the motorway to Junction 15. The driver, brandishing a knife at police, then drove through the centre of Stoke-on-Trent, Hanley and surrounding towns, damaging another seven vehicles.

The five casualties were released from hospital with bruises and whiplash.
