Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Iveco used last week's Helsinki Motor Show to announce that a new whollyowned Finnish subsidiary — International Vehicle Corporation Finland OY — has been formed.

Although Iveco has been represented in Finland since 1975, most recently through Sisu, it has mainly concentrated on the lighter end of the scale with the "Daily" range and medium weight commercials. Its presence at the Helsinki show was the first stage in an operation which will see the Helsinki office and sales organisation working fully by early autumn. An agreement with Sisu will continue until the end of 1988 to ensure full spares and service support for existing Iveco operators.

The plans for Finland include substantial investment in a dealer and service network as well as company-owned sales branches in Tampere in Turku.

The overall business plan for Iveco in Finland envisages a fully-developed domestic network by 1991.

In the meantime, emphasis will be placed on the "Daily" programme, which Finnish users acclaimed as the "Artie Van of the year" in 1987.
