Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DURHAMS of Middlesbrough has added an LAG tipping bulk tanker to its fleet of over 300 trailers.

At 38/40-tonne gross combination weight, the 50 cum (65.4 cuyd) vehicle offers a payload of 24 tonne (23.6 ton) for the carriage of hazardous powder chemicals.

Following the formation of LAG UK of Warlington, Bury St Edmunds, in August 1983, the full range of trailers manufactured by L. A. Geusens, Bree, Belgium, is now available in Britain.

Durham's LAG tanker semitrailer has a kerb weight of 8 tonnes (7.9 tons) and a gross trailer weight of 32.5 tonnes (32 tons) and is constructed to ADR regulations for carrying dangerous chemicals, classes 6 and 8, throughout the European Economic Community. It will be used for transporting anhydrous aluminium chloride, barium carbonate, lead oxide and lead dioxide.

Its single-compartment aluminium tank is designed for a working pressure of 2 bar.

To meet ADR regulations the trailers' tank jacket and rear dome has a thickness of 6 mm (0.24 in) and a front dome thickness of 12 mm (0.47 in). For accident protection Overroll bars are provided above the tank and side protection rubbing bars are also fitted. The rear bumper is never less than 1000 mm (39.4 in) from the tank. A full-length 400rnm (15.7 in) walkway is included down the left hand side of the tank, with a security rail and rear side ladder.

Five filling/man openings are provided in the tank, each 450 mm (17.7 in) diameter with aluminium covers. Discharge cone and pipe are of stainless steel, the cone being complete with a removable vibrator to prevent clogging of sticky materials. Two pvc hose carriers, sited on each side of the tank, have side access doors at their rear ends.

The tri-axle trailer with its aluminium chassis is fitted with SAF air suspension.
