Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LEYLAND plans to offer ZF gearboxes in some of its goods vehicles later this year.

Vehicles over 16 tons (eg Buffalo and Bison) will be available with the German gearbox as an option to the standard Eaton/Fuller units. It is envisaged that both four and five speed boxes with splitters will be offered.

Apparently, Leyland has been planning this move for a long time, but a decision has been delayed pending consideration of such factors as an• expansion of its own gearbox operation at Albion.

It is thought likely that the inclusion of ZF boxes in the list of options will make Leyland vehicles more attractive to European operators.
