Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Transport Association decided on Saturday that its secretaries should write immediately to the Ministry of Transport expressing the great concern of members that so many new vehicles should require repair and attention either immediately or shortly after delivery.

The minutes of this TA meeting include the following: "Members are concerned not only from the point of view of public safety but also from the viewpoint of the operational difficulties which ensue.

"It is strongly recommended that the Ministry should install inspectors at the premises of' the lorry manufacturers to examine all new vehicles before they are plated."

The meeting agreed that the leading weekly transport journals should be advised of the concern which members felt at the faults and defects experienced shortly after the delivery of new vehicles.

Members have been asked to provide the Association's secretariat with as much factual information as possible about vehicle faults experienced, as a discussion on the subject is planned to follow the next TA luncheon on July 11 in London.
