• The receiver for Brimec, the West Country-based recovery systems maker, has received several enquiries from prospective purchasers eager to buy the business as a going concern.
"Brimec has a substantial order book and we are optimistic that a purchaser may be found quickly, preserving the business and the remaining jobs," says Touche Ross, which was appointed the official receiver on 10 March.
Brimec has debts of around £750,000: 16 of the 40-strong workforce have been made redundant since Touche Ross was called in.
A buyer is being sought for Commercial Services, the truck dealership and minibus conversion specialist, which has called the receiver into its sites at Willenhall and West Bromwich in the West Midlands.
