to be accurate, casita (farmhouse) — is up for grabs in exchange for a decent tractive unit of recent registration.
Owner Peter Watson of Welling, Kent, is an ex-trucker who left Blighty for the sun, but has since returned and wants to get back on the road. To do so he is prepared to swap his two-bedroom, £40,000 Spanish dream home for a tractor unit with, perhaps, a cash adjustment. The farmhouse is in a valley near the town of Jalon on the Costa Blanca and, according to Peter, just a few minutes from the beaches of Morira and Calpe. Plums, almonds, figs, beans and olives grow on its 2,000m' of land.
The Hawk wonders if Peter will accept his old Reliant Robin plus a jar of Victory-V lozenges in exchange. Readers with a better offer could try ringing 081-854 6539. As Peter says: "You might have yourself a nice little retirement or holiday home for that tractor sitting there."
