A NEW FORM for objecting to the issue or variation of an operator's licence provides for objecting on the grounds that the proposed operating centre is unsuitable.
Only the police, local authorities, prescribed trade unions and the trade associations are allowed to object to applications for an operator's licence.
The Goods Vehicles (Operators' Licences) (Amendment) Regulations 1976 SI 292 come into force on April 1 and costs 12p from HMSO or through any bookseller.
