ESSEX haulier R. K. Neil has built up a ness over the past six years carrying British antique furniture to Scandinavia specialised busireproduction and The company's vehicles make regular weekly trips to Sweden and Denmark and regular fortnightly trips to Norway while it is hoped to start regular trips to Finland shortly.
Mr Neil has just taken delivery of the new 70cum (2,500 cuft) van which is based on a Ford R 1014 psv chassis and uses a standard Plaxton front end. The bodywork was built by Jennings of Crewe and incorporates a unique front-end roof-moulding which was specially developed to minimise wind drag. The vehicle has a plated gvw of 11.9 tonnes (11.65 tons) and the maximum length (urn or 36ft) bodywork complies with TIR security requirements.
