REDUCTIONS in London Transport services in Hertfordshire and Essex are likely following requests from the two county councils to cut the bus service deficit by a total of £350,000.
Losses in the two counties are expected to total around £1.25m and the reductions will be made to reduce the level of the grant needed to support the loss making services.
The cuts are likely to come in the Romford, Chingford, Waltham stow, Epping, Ilford and Borehamwood service areas but no decisions have yet been taken. The final decision will depend on the councils' financia: policies and on possible alternative services.
