CHRYSLER will deliver more than 2,000 Commer PB 2500 thirddoor vans to the Post Office over the next 12 months.
The vans—complete with special fitments including interior rack and binning, roof ladder and roof-mounted yellow warning lamp—mark eight years of regular orders to the Post Office.
Thirty-four vans with similar fitments but finished in postal red, will be supplied to the Post Office Engineering Service.
Chrysler's Dunstable plant will also supply 750 Commer PB 2000 sliding-door 1.75-litre Perkins diesel engine vans to the delivery service.
There are 13,000 Chrysler vehicles in PO use.
