Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Pelican system of transport refrigeration shown by British Oxygen at Earls Court last September is to be launched commercially on April I. A simple system intended principally for distributors who normally make about 40 or more deliveries of controlled-temperature foods in a day, Pelican consists of an insulated liquid nitrogen storage tank installed in the van body. The nitrogen is at minus 196deg C and vents to atmosphere during the day; there are no moving parts.

Pelican measures 60in. by 15in. by 6in. and weighs a little over 100lb when full. It costs £90 and takes an hour to install.

BOC is prepared to train customers' staff in dispensing and handling the liquid nitrogen.

More details can be obtained from BOC at Hammersmith House, London W6 (tel 01-748 20200).
