Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Road Haulage Association (RHA) represents UK road transport operators in the hire-or-reward sector. It has similar service offerings to the FTA advice, compliance systems. insurance, and tachograph analysis, as well as conditions of carriage and legal support. It also lobbies extensively on domestic and legislative matters. It has about 9,500 members, including some very large transport providers. Its members, though, are typically less highprofile than those of the blue-chip-heavy FTA.

The RHA has several regional bodies, which are actively involved in influencing regional and local transport policy; nationally, it has collaborated well with the FTA and other groups, such as the CBI, on shared issues such as fuel duty.

Its National Operations Centre is a key part of its offering, with all basic and specialist compliance training available for drivers and managers. Contact: www.rha.net or 01932 852516
