Burton upon Trent-based Parker Bros have been given a formal warning about their future maintenance standards. The company had been called before the North Western DIG Patrick Mulvenne at a Leeds disciplinary inquiry.
APPIJCATION WITHDRAWN
An application by Bathgatebased Barbara Crichton, trading as Whitburn Haulage, to increase her licence from four vehicles and one trailer has been withdrawn shortly before the hearing because of environmental representations from neighbouring residents.
FUTURE CONDUCT
Though granting a new 10vehicle licence to Glasgowbased PMK Civil Engineering, Scottish DIG, Richard McFarlane also issued the company with a reminder about Its future conduct. The company appeared before the DIG at a Glasgow Public inquiry because of concern over maintenance problems experienced by an associated firm.
MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS
Maintenance problems resulted In 10 specified vehicles being cut from the licence held in Wales by Retford-based Brookfield Transport, part of the Canute Group, for a period of 14 days. The company, which holds a licence for 140 vehicles (with 121 specified), appeared before Welsh IC David Dixon at a Pontypridd disciplinary inquiry.
