• More than 20 NBC companies have formed a consortium to launch a budget conscious series of Continental holidays.
Using scheduled services, the first holiday, to Paris, will be inaugurated this month from more than 120 towns and cities. Operating initially out of Ashford Airport (Kent), the consortium and Skyways Coach Air hope to extend flight departure points to other provincial airports in 1971/72. • The companies' national express coach service network will be used initially to take holidaymakers from as far afield as Swansea and Glasgow, Liverpool and Plymouth, to the Skyways main terminal in London.
Paris holiday prices will range from £14 4s for three days bed and breakfast, from Reading, to £42 for eight days with full board, departing from Glasgow.
