Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A PLATFORM body which is given

a downward sweep at the rear and has a ramp which drops to ground level, are two features of a new short-haul trailer introduced by the Low Loading 'trailer Co., Ltd., Dean Street, Bedford. It has been designed for carrying tractors and agricultural machinery, its load capacity being up US 7 tons.

The standard platform measures 12 ft. by 6 ft. 4 in., deck height being I ft. 11 in. In the absence of springs, load equalization is ensured by mounting the rear bogie wheels on links which pivot about a point midway between each pair of wheels.

At the front, the axle is permitted

lateral movement giving the trailer a three-point mounting. There are two pails of wheels at the rear, mounted bogie-fashion, and four wheels in line at the front.

Without winch and loading skids the trailer weighs just under a ton, which makes the use of an overrun brake legal. This brake operates on all the front wheels.

The price, including a 2-ton winch and its platform, is £397.
