THE RESULTS of the ,examinatiwis for commercial motor drivers, held by the Commercial, Motor Users Association, have now been published. These examination, were open to :any driver in Great Britain and. were held in the metropolis and in various provincial centres, each _driver who obtained more than a fixed peicentage of marks receiving, a money prize, a medal, or a certificate.

These examinations (of which this was the 17th) have effected an immense amount of good in .encouraging drivers to take a keen interest in their work. 'There were three classes—the National Championship (written and practical); the Divisional Championships (written and practical); and the General Examination (written only). Each class was subdivided under the heads-of (1) steam, (2) petrol, and (3) electric.

The National and Divisional Championships were identical, and in both the writterrand practical parts the candidate had to pass in order to win a prize or certificate. The candidate obtaining the highest marks in the sub-classes is adjudged the national champion of that sub-class, and he takes the championship for that sub-class in the division in which be is entered unless he has already won a divisional championship.

The general examination deals with leas difficult questions than those set in the two other examina'times.
