AN EMPLOYEE at Lincolnshire family haulage irm George H Kime has died after suffering severe injuries while helping to load an LGV.
It is believed the 52-year-old man from Skegness, who has not been named, was stabilising a load of heavy steel when the accident occurred at the company’s Wrangle operating centre on 10 July.
CM understands the load slipped off a forklift truck as it was being placed into a lorry trailer and landed on him. He was pronounced dead at Boston’s Pilgrim hospital.
The Health and Safety Executive and police have lauched an investigation into the incident.
No one from the company, which holds a licence authorising 32 vehicles and 46 trailers out of two premises in the county, was available to comment as CM went to press.
