In comparison, the Lander looks an ideal proposition if you want big-cab comfort and added durability without sacrificing productivity With the versatile Stallion wet kit fitted to both chassis there was nothing to separate the two when it came to discharging their loads; each was easy to use, and would have been equally at home pulling a moving-floor trailer.
The Renault is the more Spartan of the pair, while the Actros brings an extra touch of class to proceedings. The Actros heavyweight probably has the edge for everyday operation in tough conditions such as landfill work (although Renault's Kerax tractor is
avai lable for the most demanding applications), and there is no overlooking the fact that its list price is 210,000 lower than its French rival. Your local Renault denier will need to do some serious dscounting if he wants to compete on price.
But if price was no object we would go for the Lander. It feels like a genuine construction-biased truck with a higher productivity potential, and offered a better drive.
