Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A DRIVER who falsified a tachograph record a month after the suspension of his LGV driving licence had ended has lost his licence for a further two months. The latest offence occurred in a moving vehicle.

Christopher Evans of Tipton appeared before West Midland Traffic Commissioner Nick Jones at a Birmingham public inquiry.

In August 2005,Evans' LGV licence was suspended for a month by the then TC David Dixon for a range of hours and tacho offences. In October 2006 he was convicted of further offences, including: driving for more than 41/2 hours without taking the required break; failing to make entries on a tachograph record; and one offence of falsification, when he removed the chart from the tacho head while the vehicle was moving.

After the TC had pointed out that the false record offence had been committed just 17 days after he had his LGV driving licence returned to him. Evans said it had just been a "spur of the moment thing" and a "daft" thing to do.

Suspending the licence for two months, theTC said Evans had committed the most serious of tachograph offences just over two weeks after the end of the previous suspension. He warned that if there were further offences of a similar nature. Evans could expect a less sympathetic view to be taken.
