TAKING OUT THE BENDS
N Work has begun on a 15month/.U.4m scheme to improve the A59 east of Gisbum. A 2.5k.m stretch of new singlecarriageway road is being built to straighten out bends in the existing road and to provide a crawler lane on the uphill section to the east of the bridge.
