• Convenience store chain Circle K has awarded a fiveyear/.24m contract to BRS Western to deliver to its 241 outlets in England and Wales on a twice-weekly basis.
In the past, Circle K stores have been supplied by wholesalers such as Bookers, Palmer and Harvey and [DV. The company has since invested in a new warehousing and distribution centre at Hamble, near Southampton, and has taken back control of the purchasing and distribution operation.
BRS Western is supplying vehicles, drivers and a dedicated contract manager based at the Hamble centre to control vehicle movements.
The fleet includes 13 Mercedes 1726 tractive units, 19 box trailers, a Mercedes 17tonne rigid and a shunt unit.
